This position is responsible in overseeing the operational requirements of the planning and implementation of the Leisure Activity and Events Program within Leisure department at JATR.
Duties and Responsibilities
·Planning and implementation of the Leisure Activity and Events Program with assistance from Marina and Leisure Manager, General Manager and Senior Corporate Management.
·Involvement in corporate strategy to attract new key markets longer term whilst identifying and maintaining expectations with existing guests.
·Assist with feasibility studies of new Leisure projects and initiatives to enhance guest engagement and energise overall experience.
·Liaise with external suppliers and agencies for any event bookings and integration into the program.
·Manage and build positive working relationships with all associated departments (F&B, Leisure, Banqueting, Front Office, Experiences, Kids Club) to develop and enrich in-house resort guest’s experience with the activities and events program.
·Work alongside our Recreation and Kids Club Manager to ensure smooth implementation of the program along side our current lifeguard and leisure team.
·Oversee and maintain guest information channels with up to date and relevant details.
·Oversee and assist guests with enquiries and complaints related to the Leisure Program and other related concerns.
·Oversee and maintain accurate and up to date records of all checklists and relevant administration documents.
·Oversee and maintain a clean and orderly work surrounding within the Leisure areas and equipment.
·Demonstrate good knowledge of all activities and equipment within the Leisure areas.
·Oversee and ensure timely reporting of malfunction or maintenance deficiencies of appropriate area.
·Verifies the team’s attendance, hours worked and overtime, to reduce unnecessary extension of working hours.Ensure adherence of safety standards, handling of equipment or chemicals supplied, and safe exercise practices.
·Assist and monitor cost control without compromising standards.
·Assist in communicating relevant financial information to the associates.
·Assist in analysis of financial records and decision making.
·Proper storage of all equipment and assets in Leisure area.Oversees and ensures proper maintenance of equipment in Leisure area.
·Ensure we have the resources needed (equipment, appropriate trained manning, SOPs) to safely run the proposed activity program.
·Ensure SOP standards are consistently delivered throughout the department
·Assist in the review and making improvements of existing SOPs.
·Knowledge & understanding of Department Balance Scorecard & ensure associates understand what is required from them.
·Planning, organizing and controlling of daily operations schedule including Bookings, Activities, Events and Experiences.Prepares rosters and job schedules for Leisure associates to meet the business needs.
